Hilltown Woods Fall Fling 2002

              Basic Recipes

The 4th annual Hilltown Woods Fall Fling was held as scheduled on Saturday the 19th of October. Again this year, the event was combined with the annual block party. So, we celebrated with our 7th annual block party as well.

The event, by all accounts, was a resounding success; perhaps the best one yet.

Although the weather did its best to try our patience, we did not let it stop the festivities. The light misting rain we had in the morning gave way to partly cloudy skies for the afternoon and evening.

Activities started in the very early AM hours and the last people went home about 2 AM the 20th. We cleaned up and doused the bon fire after that!!

As usual, the Brunswick stew and Porky the pig were started early, and, as usual, the Brunswick stew started disappearing by late morning. It always makes a good lunch.

The clown arrived at 3:30 PM, as scheduled. The little ones were excited about that. The hay ride was a big hit as it always is. The bon fire was going early, as there was a bit of a damp chill in the air.
