Potato With Crab Soup II...Source: Jim Mixson 6-8 medium potatos, peeled and sliced, diced 8 oz carrots, diced 8 oz imitation crab meat, chopped 2 thick slices bacon, chopped 5 t dehydrated celery 1 meduim onion, chopped 1 t MSG 1 t granulated garlic 6 T butter 6 T all purpose flour 1 1/2 C milk 2 T JGM mix...See my recipe. 1 1/2 cups milk Cook diced potatos until very tender. Drain and retain broth. Saute the onion in 2 T butter until tender. Add chopped imitation crab meat. Add chopped carrots. Stir in 1 T JGM mix, MSG, granulated garlic. Fry bacon and add to sauteed mixture; set aside. In stock pot, add 1 1/2 C of above broth and 1 1/2 C milk. Slowly stir in flour at very slow boil. Add remaining butter (4 T). Continue to simmer mixture, stirring until creamy smooth. Add cooked potatoes and sauteed mixture, stirring all well. Add additional broth (use water if required) to bring to desired consistency. Bring to slow boil, then simmer for 30-45 minutes. Stir frequently. It will most certainly stick/burn.
