Grandma Ruebman's German Potato Salad...Source: Evelyn Ruebman

Cook potatoes and cool(slice potatoes very thin)
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/4 c.warm water(dissolve bouillon (beef) cube in)
Salt(onion)
Salt and pepper
I'm told to always use more vinegar than ordered and always use the PINK BOWL
Potatos:  Fill a 2 quart kettle with small to medium potatoes with their
jackets on, then peel and slice when cool.

I've not personally made this one, but I can vouch for its goodness
and German authenticity.
Sorry, I can't help you with the "PINK BOWL".  I guess that's Grandma's
secret ingredient!.
