Corned Beef...Source: Jim Mixson 3-5 pound beef brisket Use seasoning packet that comes with brisket, or 2 bay leaves 2 teaspoons black peppercorns 4 whole allspice berries 2 whole cloves salt and black pepper to taste Rinse brisket under cold water. Place in pot and cover with water. Add seasonings. Bring to boil then slow cook for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until fork tender. Serve with steamed cabbage seasoned with smoked meat and boiled potato chunks.
